Passports allow the service of extending visit visas of all kinds electronically through the Absher and Muqeem platform

The General Directorate of Passports indicated that it has made it available, in coordination with the National Information Center, through the electronic platforms “Absher, Muqeem”, the service of extending visit visas of all kinds for visitors inside the Kingdom, for a period similar to the time period specified in the basic residence visa, even if the duration of their stay exceeds the period specified in (180) days.

The Passports indicated that this service had previously been announced for cases in which it was not possible to extend their visit visas via electronic services previously, as they required reviewing passports departments to obtain the service, and that making the service available electronically came to facilitate citizens and residents without the need to review passports headquarters by enhancing electronic transactions and activating platforms Remote electronic services are provided, and the implementation of the service requires that the extension be 7 days or less before the end of the visa, and that no more than 3 days have passed since its expiration date.
